Re: ATI Drivers - CCC & overscaling I just went through a complete reinstall of windows and am still trying to get everything back the way it was. The windows failure was due to messing around with the ati drivers.

I know there are designated bootcamp specific drivers but I'm gearing up for GTA V and I hear these were made to fix a few potential issues. Hypothetically, the drivers should work since the iMac 5k I'm running is a mobile GPU version of the 295, which is supported for the drivers (the mobile versions as well).

I've heard success stories without much fuss in installing, yet there is no official word on how they've done it. When I run the install, it tells me it's unable to detect my AMD hardware. I'm running Windows 8.1. Edit: I got it to work. Get guru 3d uninstaller and download the new beta drivers for your amd 295. Run guru 3d uninstaller (do the safe mode uninstall restart option). Then run the AMD driver.

It will fail most likely but it will also extract some files into your computer. Goto C: AMD AMD-Catalyst-15.4Beta-64Bit-Win8.1-Apr9 Packages Drivers Display WB6AINF. Run CU182335.

If that doesn't work, go to update your driver through the device manager and manually choose that folder mentioned above (right click what ever is under display adapter Choose browse my computer for driver software Select path mentioned above). Then goto C: AMD AMD-Catalyst-15.4Beta-64Bit-Win8.1-Apr9 Packages Apps CCC2 Core-Static-Net4 Then run ccc-core-static to get the catalyst manager. Your device should show up at as a AMD m200s series card. Also version 14.5. It's still the beta driver, everything should work properly and the drivers are still digitally signed. For me, this is the least intrusive workaround. I've been enjoying GTA with some beautiful framerates and graphics.

My iMac is still hot as hell though (gpu 105c). Looking for an answer as well. I've tried installing using the installer as well as manually through the device manager, no dice. I've gotten video drivers upgrades on Boot Camp installations before but usually there's some sort of workaround or hacked package involved. Have yet to find one. The drivers provided by Apple were built on 7/2014 which is an eternity ago in driver time. Especially since the beta drivers are supposedly optimized for GTAV.

Not that the existing drivers have any performance problems, I'm rocking the M295X and I have no problems at 1440p almost maxed, I'm just getting a ton of random 'This program has stopped working' errors this weekend for some reason and I'm hunting the culprit. I got it to work.

I don't have applecare yet. I believe my computer falls under the 1 year warranty, so I think I'm ok for now incase anything happens. I'd like to get it soon. What bothers me most, is that I took my iMac at the applestore during winter. The tech guy just kept on restarting the computer over and over again, trying to do the online recovery.

I waited there for 2 hours reading a book off my phone. Then when I took this up with the higher up on the phone, they told me it shouldn't be this hot, but I have a feeling they weren't informed and didn't run test.

Nvidia quadro nvs 285 driver. They wanted my iMac back and I sent them a new one. Still the same thing, but I did mange to talk them into giving me a new 1 tb USB 3 hard drive because I didn't want to buy one. So I got that going for me.

Doesn't seem like apple is as united / protocol based when it comes to staff and being acquainted with their products. I guess this is in line with the economy, post Steve Jobs, and the amount of product ventures Apple has been doing.
