With iphoto I had a plug in called 'iphoto export' where I could select photos and export them into a flash based web page for my web site. I was wondering if anyone knows of a similar 'plug in' or 'add on' for aperture. Here is a page of Apple Plug-Ins. Download Aperture for Mac - Best Software & Apps. Wow, thanxs for the fast answers. the pictures will be viewed by simple Photo-Software (Freeware, Picasa, ev. Adobe Elements or similar) - the other person just want to have the pictures (as a souvenir). This person has no knowledge of 'photo processing' - there are a few processed versions. Would be nice to export both versions (if possible) - Metadata don't be needed to be exported - pictures format is jpg (no raw files) - Amount of picutres - I think around 4-6 GB Aperture Library at the moment My aim: - Export same quality of picture and if possible the same structure (i.e. Holiday - Trip to xy, Trip to zw.etc) Thanxs a lot for the help (I should know Aperture better:-( ) Phil.
I think what you want to do is export the images rather than the library. I don't believe there is a PC application that can open an aperture library. However if you select the pictures you wish to export, then either right click on one or choose export in the file library and then chose either version or master.
It sounds what you want to export is a jpeg version, so chose version, that will allow you to select the size and quality of the image. You can create a folder for the destination images.
If you want to have images in different folders, then I believe you need to export them one folder at a time. That could be done by selecting individual albums or projects. Then within that album select ans image and hit command 'a'.
That selects every image in that group. Exporting the masters will export copies of the original files.

If they are raw files your friend might be less happy with that as they may require otimization. When an image is exported as a version any adjustments applied in Aperture will be used in generating the JPEG or TIFF. Freecorder 4 download for mac.
Hope that helps. To the best of my knowledge there is no way to do the export in one step. Unless you are willing to sort things from folder to folder after the fact with file numbers.
I think the export only goes to one foder at a time. Perhaps someone knows of an aftermarket plug in that will do what you are looking for.
Since all your files are jpegs you could do an export masters rather than versions unless you have made adjustments such as exposure or contrast, then you will be better off exporting versions. You will end up with copies of your files in a new folder.
With each export you have the opportunity to select a folder. That means you can go through your library and export project by project to a new folder.
Perhaps someone else will have a more elegant solution taking advantage of metadata. Making an exact replica of you library structure may not be possible but you can get fairly close. First select all the images in your library, go to the Photos view and select the browser. Now when you do File-Export-Versions you'll get the file export preset window. Here you can describe how you want the exported file structure to look like. If you open the Subfolder Format: pulldown you'll get this: Select Edit and this window will open: You can see you can setup the folder structure as you wish.
