'The owner of Apple Mac is James Mclaren allthough this is hard to find because he has asked to be removed from the Internet.' James Mclaren is a singer, and probably doesn't own a single stock in Apple. No one person owns Apple, its its own public company owned by thousands of people but apple has the most stocks in apple so apple owns apple. Many people think Steve jobs owns apple, this is very idiotic, he is the ceo and cofounder of apple but does not own it, he owns some stocks in apple but not the entire company.
BTW its not Apple mac, its Apple Inc which makes Macintosh computers, iPods, iPads, iPhones, software, the company filemaker, and more. According to Steve Jobs, who was a vegetarian (eating mostly fruit) at the time, they were running out of time to come up with a name for the company and so he said he would call the company Apple if nobody came up with a better suggestion. Apple it is Yes somebody did, it was The Beatles. It was called Apple Corps Ltd in 1968,and a lawsuit followed which mr Jobs had to pay 26.5 Million Dollars in 1991. There were also further disputes between Mr Jobs and The Beatles. In 1981 Apple Corps Ltd (The Beatles) made an agreement with Apple Computer that they could use the Apple Logo, but they could not use the Logo that had anything to do with music. They settled out of court.
In 2003 Apple Computer invented a little thing called iTunes, sticking the Apple Log`s all over it. Again back to court. The judge without hearing the case gave them leave to appeal in the high court in London,The reason the judge did this, that this was a far to complicated issue for a little judge like me(These were the words of the Barrister for The Beatles) In the high court they ruled in favour of Apple Computer, because he said it had nothing to do with music. They were going back to court to appeal against this, which Apple Computer new. They settled out of court, and the Beatles Barrister said do you know how much we got, 'Well i am not telling you' Apple does not copy?
The original Apple Macintosh was revolutionary in several ways. The first being that it brought a graphic user interface (GUI) to the public in a reasonably affordable device. It was not the first GUI computer, but the first to move its user base from the command-line interface of the PC and other computing platforms. The Mac brought the concept of folders to the screen in place of directories in the command-line.
The Mac also was the first successful computer to utilize a pointing device, the mouse. It allowed many people who were afraid of learning the command-line to use a computer with exceptional ease-of-use. And as the original Macintosh was an 'all-in-one' design, set up was simple. The Apple Macintosh changed the game. Microsoft had to bring out Windows to keep their market share.
And even though it was several versions before Microsoft really had a competitive version of Windows, they were able to keep the lion share of the market due to their entrenched business users. PC clones also brought the cost of PC's down tremendously compared to Apple products.
Windows users are indebted to Apple for bringing the Mac to the market. The competition made Microsoft improve their products in the long run.
